Q. What is VoIP and why should I be considering it for my company?
A. VoIP is an acronym for “Voice Over Internet Protocol”. It refers to delivering voice over an IP network (or in some cases the public Internet). What makes it advantageous for some businesses is that it allows you to network branches together in much the same way you would a data network. This can reduce long distanced costs if those sites are far apart. It also allows for remote teleworkers to access most of the same features of the phone system that are available inside the office making it a “seamless” experience for your clients. You should discuss your business needs with a HunTel Account Executive thoroughly to determine if VoIP technology will enhance your business practices.
Q. Will my current network support a new phone system?
A. In order to determine this, a network assessment is needed which will add some cost but the information is invaluable in deciding how to support the products for your business.
